Update on Rijkswaterstaat: Atlas places 40 personnel to the Dutch fleet

It has only been three weeks since Atlas Professionals began its collaboration with Rijkswaterstaat. Since then Atlas Professionals has placed 40 maritime personnel across the Rijksrederij on a variety of coastal and inland projects. Since 1st December Atlas’ Urk office has already supplied maritime personnel to Rijkswaterstaat fleet that consists of Patrol, Coastguard, Oil recovery and survey vessels. The majority of positions that Atlas have supplied are Able Seaman, Cook, Steward, Chief Mate and Master. Read More
Compliant with Convention: Protecting our Seafarers Worldwide

During 2015, Atlas Professionals have undergone an extensive audit program to confirm that the organisation remains in compliance with the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) 2006. The MLC embodies all the current standards of existing international maritime labour conventions and recommendations in order to better protect seafarers and their families. Audits to confirm attestation of compliance to MLC 2006 have taken place for a total of 21 entities across Atlas’ 24 offices, of which 15 offices specialise in the supply professionals falling under the scope of the convention. Van Oord Names New Cutter Suction Dredger Mangystau

Van Oord has named a new cutter suction dredger at the yard of Damen Dredging Equipment in Nijkerk, the Netherlands. The vessel, which was given the name Mangystau, is the second modified Damen CSD 650 cutter suction dredger in the Van Oord fleet. The naming ceremony was performed by Ms J.P.T.M. Verwijs, wife of the chairman of Van Oord’s Works Council. Read More
