The DP-2 fitted vessel measures 108 by 16 meters and offers accommodation and workspaces for 75 persons onboard. The vessel will be equipped with two dedicated boat landings for Crew Transfer Vessels as well as a motion-compensated gangway, which allows a safe and efficient transfer of technicians and equipment between the vessel and wind turbines. Van Oord with partner Royal Boskalis Westminster has won a major land reclamation contract in Indonesia.

The contract, awarded by the PT Muara Wisesa Samudra, includes design and construction of the artificial island under the Dredging and Land Development Project for Pluit City off the coast of Jakarta. The contract has a value of approximately EUR 350 million (shared equally between Boskalis and Van Oord). This project involves reclaiming approximately 160 hectares of new land requiring in excess of 20 million cubic meters of dredged sand. Read More
