Crewing Chevalier Floatels for “New Suez Canal” Project

Atlas Professionals reached a new milestone in cooperation with one of its clients; Chevalier Floatels. Last week in Riga (Latvia), Marcel Roelofs from Chevalier Floatels and Paul Steeghs from Atlas signed a contract to provide a full crew to the recently acquired and re-commissioned accommodation barge Rossini. “Our relationship with Chevalier Floatels goes back many years”, says Atlas’ Commercial Director Paul Steeghs. “The full crewing service we provide to their two floatels, DP Gezina and DP Galyna, has led to a unique relationship between our companies. A consortium consisting of the world’s biggest dredging companies start on the “New Suez” Canal project in Egypt. The companies will work together to create another canal that will run alongside the existing Suez Canal, in order to allow ships to simultaneously pass one another.
